With social media playing a huge role in today s society we have lost our ability to understand emotion.
Issues such as the improper use of incorrect english and grammar cybercrimes and other issues are some of the most negative and horrible sides of social media use. We have learned growing up to read others body language through face to face interactions. In a study involving 600 adults roughly a third said social media made them feel negative emotions mainly frustration and envy was the main cause. One of the negative effect of social media or network is it leads to addiction.
With the increase in social media usage we have not been able to tell how others may be feeling therefore we read the persons words wrong. Spending countless hours on the social sites can divert the focus and attention from a particular task. Unsurprisingly it s one of the most widespread negative effects of social media on society. It lowers the motivational level of the people especially of the teenagers and students.
