My Husband Lets Our Daughter Disrespect Me

The parent must let go of his or her ego.

By contrast when i met my partner greta 14 years ago she introduced me to her three daughters on our second date. It s been smooth sailing with her children she also has a son ever since. Her kids tell me they re happy that their mom has someone with whom to share her life. My husband disowned our daughter 6 years ago and says it is because she was disrespectful and he blames me he travels for a living and says that i let her do things now she is disrespectful to him and says he will not talk to her til she apologizes this started when she was 14 and is now 20.

The parent has to steer this relationship to a better path. Our 1 daughter became very disrespectful and my husband would get angry when i disciplined. Leave it at the door. My piece of advice on estrangement of children is this.

Husband allows others to disrespect me in last the 2 to 3 yrs my husband has started being verbal abusive. I blame myself but i don t really understand. I m so hurt not only by his daughter s behaviour but by the fact my husband just let her get away with it. It s very important for the two of them to bond at this strange ever changing teen angst age but it should never be done at the expense of mom.

We were walking to our car from a day out when my husband and my 13 year old daughter were walking together. I am good only when finances are concerned or an apartment. But to make along story short he allows his friends and family to say real hateful comments to me and has actually gone along with them. This is now causing arguments and friction between us and a rift in our 20 year.
