However if all you have is a pickup truck or even just a car you can still accomplish this task with very little in the way of materials. Moving straps will help secure your bed frame mattress and box spring inside a moving truck so they don t get damaged.
It s not advisable to place your queen size mattress on top of. This will reduce the air lift that can pull the mattress off the truck. Some vehicles however are ideal for moving a twin full double queen or even king sized mattress. First slide your mattress and or boxspring up into the truck bed as far to the left hand side as possible.
Carry your mattress out to the vehicle with a friend. Load the mattress onto the rented moving truck preferably at the back of the storage space and secure it to the side wall to minimize any undesired shifts. Load your mattress on your pick up truck or another appropriate vehicle and secure it in place using tie down straps. If you have a box spring or another mattress place it on the other side of the pickup bed to balance the load.
