Feeling Of Something In Back Of Throat
Camila Farah
A common reason for frequently experiencing the sensation of something stuck in the throat is gastroesophageal reflux.
The feeling that something is stuck in your throat is a miserable feeling. This is a condition whereby acid from the stomach leaks back into the esophagus and causes a burning sensation in the chest heartburn and a bitter taste in the mouth. I guess the take home message is that if you feel like something is stuck in your throat but you have no problems swallowing food or liquid it s very unlikely you have a serious cause. Logically stopping smoking should help because it irritates the back of the throat and aggravates postnasal drip.
Advertising on our site helps support our mission. The chronic irritation and coughing or the inability to swallow your own spit is enough to make anyone feel crazy.
