The feast of unleavened bread then moses said to the people remember this day in which you came out from egypt out of the house of slavery for by a strong hand the lord brought you out from this place.
Seven days you must eat unleavened bread. The following day on the fifteenth of the hebrew month of nisan god appointed another festival. Bible verses about feast of unleavened bread exodus 12 15 20 seven days you shall eat unleavened bread. But even though this feast first appears in the old testament to the israelites did you know that it s actually a feast that was foreshadowing and celebrating jesus as messiah.
During the spring of the year march april in the northern hemisphere immediately after passover and before the feast of pentecost falls another biblical feast the seven day feast of unleavened bread leviticus 23 6 8 leviticus 23 6 8 6 and on the fifteenth day of the same month is the feast of unleavened bread to the lord. And nothing leavened shall be seen among you nor shall any leaven be seen among you in all your borders. It was symbolic of the haste with which the israelites fled egypt during the exodus they left so quickly that the bread did not have time to rise. Yeast makes bread rise so when bread is unleavened it remains flat and dense.
For seven days you shall eat unleavened bread and on the seventh day there shall be a feast to the lord. On the first day you shall remove leaven from your houses. Unleavened bread shall be eaten throughout the seven days. Jesus christ willingly came down from heaven and took the form of a man to die for our sins.

This feast would last seven days and be called the feast of unleavened bread. Unleavened bread is bread that is made without leaven which is another word for yeast. On the first night and again on the seventh there was to be a time of convocation meeting between god and man. The israelites ate unleavened bread as part of the passover celebration.
The bible tells us that the israelites were to eat only unleavened bread every year during passover as a commemoration of the exodus from egyptian bondage. This is a biblically commanded feast of the lord. Passover however is only one 24 hour period while feast of unleavened bread lasts for seven days. The feast of unleavened bread is a period that comes right after passover where no leavened bread or leavening is to be eaten.
