Family Falling Apart After Death Of Father
Camila Farah
It may be that after a death the oldest child feels they have to step in and take care of grieving parents and younger siblings.
Maybe the youngest child has been babied and so they feel they need a little extra emotional support. Without mom there is no lure to draw family members from afar on holidays and other family gatherings like sunday dinners birthdays anniversaries etc the parents grandparents and particularly the moms and grandmothers are always the glue that holds the siblings together and keeps all the aunts and uncles and the cousins in touch into the next generation sadly as the old generation fades away people move away get involved with their own lives and drift apart of course there are exceptions. I was falling apart. For others it may be a combination of grief and the anxiety over executing the will dividing up assets and or selling the family home.
If it is a parent who died perhaps the oldest child feels compelled to fill some of their roles. Following your father s death. Aches and pains including back chest and head for some the grief alone is enough to make them sick.
